I’ve spent more than a decade making beer between Portugal and Belgium, from Portugal’s early craft scene at Mean Sardine to years of experimentation at Brussels Beer Project.

Today I’m co-founder and head brewer at PACE, a functional alcohol-free beer brand born between Mafra and Ericeira. The question behind the work is simple: what if beer could keep its flavour, ritual and social energy without slowing people down?

My work sits between brewing, product thinking and sensory education. I build recipes, test ingredients, read where the market is moving and help people understand beer through tasting, training and strategy. Low- and no-alcohol beer, functional ingredients, moderation and mindful drinking are not side trends to me. They are part of where beer is going.
